What is Everything?
Everything is a free file search tool for Windows from voidtools. It finds files and folders by name almost instantly, even across very large drives, updating the results as you type.
It's fast because it reads the file index that NTFS drives already maintain, rather than scanning every folder. It searches names by default. Searching inside file contents is possible, but slower because contents aren't indexed.
