What Aptorise provides
Aptorise is a free guide to software: descriptions, platform information, toolkits, alternatives, comparisons and install commands. It's general information to help you choose. It isn't professional advice for your particular situation.
Accuracy
We check information against official sources, but software, prices and availability change. Before you install or buy anything, check the details on the software's official website. Install commands are provided for convenience; review a command before running it on your system.
Third-party software and websites
Aptorise doesn't make or distribute the software it lists, and doesn't host installers. Software you download is provided by its developer under the developer's own licence and terms. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; those sites have their own terms and privacy policies. Some links may be affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
Security and networking tools
Aptorise lists security and networking tools for learning, administration and defence. Only use them on systems and networks you own or have explicit permission to test. Using them against other people's systems without permission can be illegal.
