Clonezilla is a free, open-source disk imaging and cloning system that runs from a bootable USB drive or CD. It can copy a whole disk or partition to an image file for backup, restore it later, or clone one drive directly to another.
It uses text menus rather than a graphical interface, and it only copies the used parts of supported file systems, which saves time and space. The Clonezilla Server Edition can restore the same image to many computers at once.
Open Source Free and open source
Open source: the source code is public, so anyone can inspect it, and it's free to use.
Prices change, so check clonezilla.org for current pricing.
$ sudo apt install clonezillaPackage names were checked against each official package registry, and commands install the same software as the official download. Only run commands you understand.

No, it uses text menus. Rescuezilla offers a point-and-click interface and can restore Clonezilla images.
It works best when the target drive is the same size or larger. Cloning to a smaller drive needs advanced options and only works when the used data fits.
Free and open source. It's also open source.
Clonezilla is available for Windows, macOS and Linux. It isn't available for Android and iPhone & iPad.
Common alternatives include Rescuezilla. See the full list of Clonezilla alternatives for how they differ.
